Travis Hunter, the second overall pick in this year’s NFL Draft by the Jacksonville Jaguars, tied the knot on Saturday. He recently got hitched to Leanna De La Fuente in Tennessee. Hunter, a 22-year-old who plays for the Jacksonville Jaguars, exemplifies as both a wide receiver and cornerback. He marked this momentous achievement only days after participating in Colorado’s own graduation ceremony.
Hunter and De La Fuente, both now 23, became friends while attending Collins Hill High School in Suwanee, Georgia. Their relationship deepened over the years, allowing Coach Prime to withstand Hunter’s college career, a three-year ride that played out at Jackson State and Colorado. The couple got engaged in February 2024, starting a new journey together as an engaged couple.
In a contentious turn of events, Hunter decided to put a lighthearted spin on his May 8 ceremony. He wore Jaguars pajama pants under his graduation gown! He did buy these pants having been drafted by the Pistons that night, a sign of his pride in and desire to represent his new team. So two days after graduating, he sprinted back to Jacksonville. He was excited to get to work in the Jaguars’ rookie minicamp and start his pro career.
As a true dual-threat player, Hunter will be given an opportunity to show his skills on offense and defense. The Jaguars have developed a plan to leverage his skills as a wide receiver and cornerback, providing him with opportunities to make an impact in multiple facets of the game.
