U.S. National Flag Football Teams Announced for 2025 Season

USA Football today officially named its national flag football teams in preparation for the inaugural 2025 season. Needless to say, this exciting news moves the entire community into a new, more competitive milieu. The success of the U.S. availability for their men’s team has been a long and storied history. They’re looking for a sixth consecutive IFAF world championship to extend their reign of terror. Similarly, the U.S. women’s team has triumphed with three consecutive world titles, marking a significant era for flag football in the United States.

Both teams just put on the full range of their skills at the IFAF flag football world championships in Lahti, Finland. Their spectacular performances provided each of them with a memorable gold medal. Whether they win or not, this success ensures their status as leaders in the sport. These young women have their eyes set on repeating their victories in upcoming competitions.

Eric Mayes, the managing director of high performance and national teams for USA Football, expressed confidence in the athletes selected for this year. He acknowledged the unprecedented depth of talent available, stating, “The depth of talent in our athlete pool is the best it’s ever been.”

As the U.S. teams prepare for an exciting competition this September, they’ll compete against other national squads at the IFAF Americas Continental Flag Football Championship in Panama, where all their training will shine through as they display their elite talent.
