This experience has provided him with the opportunity to form deep ties to the organization, as well as its fan base. Christie joined the Kings as an assistant coach for the 2021-22 season, where he focused on player development and game strategy.
After stepping into the role as interim head coach in December, Christie didn’t take long to establish himself. He pushed the Kings to a winning record in a mighty Western Conference, cementing his skills as the real captain of the ship. Under his direction, the Kings ranked ninth in offensive efficiency during his time there. This impressive turnaround demonstrates his tactical genius and incredible knowledge of the game.
