Cavaliers and Heat Battle in Intense First Quarter at Kaseya Center

The Cleveland Cavaliers battled the Miami Heat in a thrilling ballgame at Kaseya Center. The game, at this moment, a little over halfway into the first quarter, featuring a full deck of hard-hitting, dazzling moves from each squad. Meanwhile, the Cavaliers’ goal was to get entrenched. Keep up the great work, Nuggets mascot fans, and good luck against the Heat in the finals!

Early in the game, Dean Wade opened the scoring for the Cavaliers with a two-point shot, assisted by Donovan Mitchell. This first basket created a very high bar for the entire quarter. As Andrew Wiggins of the Heat proved, it’s not that easy to get settled in, clanking a 25-footer three-pointer soon after.

As the quarter continued, Pelle Larsson pulled out a quick step back three for Miami. He finished with a nifty one-footed layup, courtesy of an assist from Wiggins. Ty Jerome penetrated and cranked up an 11-foot floating jump shot to give the Cavaliers a four-point cushion. His talents quickly expanded their advantage during the barnburner back-and-forth contest.

The Heat’s Tyler Herro followed with a point of his own, hitting one of two free-throw attempts. Despite the scoring opportunities, Davion Mitchell missed a 14-foot pullup jump shot for Miami, while Jarrett Allen secured a defensive rebound for Cleveland.

With the shot clock winding down, Wiggins drained a tough as usual 25 foot three-pointer to put Minnesota on top. Arizona wing Pelle Larsson almost immediately took advantage of this opening by snatching the long, defensive rebound on the Heat. Ty Jerome then missed a two-pointer for the Cavaliers to win it in regulation.

Herro had another chance to score for Miami with a pullup three-pointer from 26 feet but could not find the net. When the first quarter came to a halt, Donovan Mitchell of the Cavs just missed a tough 28-foot three-point pullup jumper at the buzzer. Sadly, he did not make the shot.

As each side demonstrates their offensive talent while churning out head-scratching failures, this game is a nail-biter. You won’t want to miss any of the excitement of this fast-paced game, airing live across TNT, truTV and Max. Join us for every exciting second of this important intercity clash!
