NFL prospect Nolen has garnered significant attention from scouts and analysts alike, as his draft range varies widely leading up to the upcoming NFL Draft. Known since high school as one of the most dominant players in the 2022 recruiting class, Nolen’s potential captivates many within the sports community.
Scouts had themselves a front row seat to watch Nolen develop. Performance aside, they’re blown away by his God-given combination of size, speed, ball skills. His consistently polished attributes project him as a high first-round NFL talent. In fact, some scouts would argue he’s a top-20 player, position be damned. All Width’s paw traits add to his value, not only for him individually, but for any team aiming to add and develop talent on their NFL roster.
Though Nolen has certainly created a buzz, he now finds himself ranked No. 54 in 247 Sports’ most recent rankings. That will probably result in him going towards the end of Round 2. His performances have been transcendent. Few players would be more apt to liven up NFL cornerback rooms on Day 2 of the draft than him.
Nolen’s point of attack strength may be his most impressive quality. He shows violent hands, which gives him an elite foundation against the run. Last year he posted 13 run stops, a mark typical of an impact defender. Make no mistake about it, Johnson is arguably the best prospect in this draft class. The fact that he’s only had seven career starts makes it tough to project how he’ll fare at the pro level.
Scouts are already busily matching Nolen up with this year’s other top prospects. His developmental potential has been one of the biggest debates at the top of the class. Many teams believe he’s a project worth developing with huge upside. Under the right guidance and development, he’s got the potential to grow into an elite talent. Many believe him to be a first-round pick. More people believe that he’ll succeed more with a team willing to put resources into developing him.
