Katie Mack Returns to Lancashire for Women’s Domestic Season

Katie Mack, the 31-year-old Australian batter, has signed for Lancashire for the first half of the women’s domestic season. She’s now returned to Emirates Old Trafford. She wants to have the biggest impact she can in the One-Day Cup and T20 Blast domestic competitions.

Mack plays regularly for the Adelaide Strikers in the WBBL (Women’s Big Bash League). She would be an exciting addition given her stellar success in the league. She had represented the Sydney Thunder in the WBBL prior to this. Most recently, she flexed her muscles in the 50-over format, scoring 324 runs in nine matches. Her experience in high-pressure situations has the potential to be a huge asset for Lancashire.

>The Australian international is on standby to play at least eight One-Day Cup games and three T20 Blast fixtures. Her contract now goes through early June. Either way, this latest stint will create a path for Mack to play a pivotal role in helping the team ride the early-season momentum to greater success.

“I enjoyed my time with the squad a lot last summer and I hope that I can come straight back in, hit the ground running, and score some important runs with the bat,” Mack expressed regarding her return to the team.

Lancashire have high hopes for Mack as they seek to add to their battery for next season. Her previous experience and exceptional batting skills will add depth, making the team much stronger in both formats of the game.
