By the time of the 2025 Masters, Griffey is walking the greens of Augusta National, but as a full-fledged photographer with his own professional equipment. He’s not some disinterested onlooker. In addition to shooting the 2023 MLB Seoul Series, Griffey has shot an Inter Miami FC match featuring Lionel Messi, creating memorable portraits and action shots. He covered an exciting Dallas Cowboys-Philadelphia Eagles game from the sidelines in November 2023, showing his range beyond lacrosse.
Griffey’s photography journey recently included capturing moments at Florida A&M’s homecoming football game in October 2023, where he photographed his son, Tevin Griffey. He displayed his talent at Boise State home games. That commitment to telling the stories of sports, particularly those that intersect with his family, only grew.
His work has the revenue to match its influence. Today, many of his images are featured on Getty Images, providing a broader audience the opportunity to experience his artistic vision – fresh take on sports. During Round 1 of the Masters, Griffey was noticed with his personal equipment, diligently working to capture striking images of the tournament. His dedication to the craft is evident as he navigates the iconic course, illustrating the sport from a fresh angle.
