Danielle Snyder is a gifted designer and creative entrepreneur who has taken the sports fashion industry by storm. The last major factor in her success has been her strong personal connection with the Golden State Warriors. After relocating from New York to San Francisco in 2020 during the pandemic, Snyder was amazed by the creative potential surrounding him. This new world quickly ignited Jill’s love for creating one-of-a-kind pieces. It’s her deepening relationship with the Warriors, though, that has been instrumental for the bottom line of her high-flying business.
In 2022, Snyder, with her sister, Jordi, launched DannijoPro — a label for NBA apparel. The brand has received official licensing from the NBA. Today, it’s able to go and create really creative designs that are actually turning the heads of fans on rival teams. In Snyder’s own hands, her work is a terrific reflection of the love she feels for the Warriors. She adds, her designs welcome a multitude of squads.
It may be Warriors or Knicks or Lakers but the idea is for you to wear it out wherever you are and you can just be cool. It’s not meant just to be worn to a game,” Snyder stated. This vision serves to ground her creations and make them more relatable to a wider audience. It motivates people to incorporate athletic-inspired street culture into their daily lives.
Snyder’s love of design truly came alive during her frequent visits to Warriors games. “It wasn’t until my husband got us Warriors season tickets that I came back to life,” she recalled. The hustle and bustle of the Bay Area and the energy of game days drove her to express herself creatively through art. “It was the first time I really saw that the Bay Area had a buzz and vibrancy… going to those games became, in a weird way, the creative outlet that I had been missing,” she explained.
Her custom designs have gained attention from hoop fans all over, as well as high-profile Warriors players and personnel. Snyder has developed one-of-a-kind pieces for players including Gary Payton II. He even created outfits for head coach Steve Kerr to wear! Her clientele includes high-profile clients like Ayesha Curry, Jada Paul, and Nicole Lacob.
Of course Snyder’s creations pop, with their amazing level of detail. “Our artistic team puts the final touches on each piece, focusing on crystals, hand-painting, and embroidery.” From the beginning, her commitment to fine quality and craftsmanship has begat the organic growth of her business. Now, she’s developed powerful connections with suppliers and artists that understand her vision.
