Giants Set Sights on Young Quarterback Talent in Upcoming Draft

The New York Giants are making strategic moves as they prepare for the upcoming draft, prioritizing a young quarterback despite recent signings. Though they have their eyes set to further strengthen their roster, the Giants have been all over the country looking to add more talent to their impressive roster. Their emphasis on quarterbacks and offensive line prospects shows their determination to build around those critical positions.

During the course of the school season, the Giants had a representative at every Colorado home game, a strong indication of their level of interest in their top performers. The team is internally optimistic they can draft an answer at quarterback with their No. 6 overall pick. This is all despite having recently signed Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston. Unsurprisingly, this decision reflects the one-year length of Wilson’s contract. It’s an indication that the Giants are continuing their due diligence in finding the best path possible to landing a franchise QB of the future.

At Miami’s pro day, Milroe captivated the Giants’ scouts with his blistering speed. He absolutely crushed the 40-yard dash, running it in 4.4 flat! Giants organization remembers the blurriness of Kyle’s speed and agility. For that reason, they are now considering their best strategy for this spring’s draft.

As to all the quarterbacks the Giants are considering at No. 4 overall. Of course they are especially taking a close look at Ohio State’s C.J Stroud, Alabama’s Bryce Young and Kentucky’s Will Levis. These potential picks reflect the team’s determination to invest in a young quarterback who can lead them in the future.

The Giants are clearly looking at talent along the offensive line. They locked on to their top four candidates for the OT spots. Will Campbell from LSU, Armand Membou from Missouri, Kelvin Banks Jr. from Texas and Josh Simmons from Ohio State are likely first-rounders. This continued emphasis on offensive linemen highlights their intent to blanket any rookie/intended-to-be-a-stud QB with quality coverage.

Walter Nolen from Ole Miss is making a strong case as the top defensive tackle in this class. This further emphasizes the Giants’ dedicated push to improve their offense and their defense.
