One of our own in the midst of those honorees, Roy Keane stood out, winning the coveted Pundit of the Year award for his legendary level of punditry. In addition to Keane's success, Harshini Mehta, an assistant producer in Sky Sports' Bespoke Content Team, was honored with the Ones to Watch – Off Air category award. It was Mehta’s behind-the-scenes contributions that were instrumental in creating that fresh and creative sports storytelling.
Sky Sports News’ award winning “Deadline Day” was named Television Show of the Year. This honor underscores its far-reaching influence and huge popularity with audiences. The show provides rich context and real time reporting. As such, it’s turned into a cannot miss for sports fans wanting to stay abreast with all the newest transfer gossip.
Geraint Hughes, Senior Reporter at Sky Sports News, won for his contribution as a Sports Summariser. Hughes' ability to distill complex sports stories into concise and engaging summaries has enhanced the network's reporting quality.
Additionally, Kelly Cates of Sky, who covers domestic football for some of Sky’s regional channels, was named Presenter of the Year. Her energizing stage presence ignites every audience. Through her groundbreaking commentary on the national football league, she’s become a woman broadcaster’s broadcaster — an inspiration to a new generation of sports broadcasters.
