Former Fiancée Faces Lawsuit for Alleged Extortion and Abuse

In an even more shocking twist, Worthy has now filed legal action against his ex–fiancée, Tia Jones. He recently lost a lawsuit that he filed in Williamson County, Texas. Worthy claims that all of Jones’ abusive and extortive acts. He says that Jones punched him and took more than $150,000 worth of cash and property. The wider legal battle is the War of the Roses, with Worthy pursuing damages between $250,000 and $1 million.

Worthy claims that it was at this time that Jones started to beat Worthy, first by scratching his face and then by tearing clumps of hair from his scalp. Even with these troubling accusations, a Texas judge recently issued Jones a protective order against Worthy. The Williamson County District Attorney announced that no charges will be brought against Worthy.

"Defendant Jones began physically assaulting Plaintiff by scratching his face and ripping parts of his hair out, causing him pain and injury." – Worthy

The suit filed by Worthy’s family further alleges Jones destroyed Worthy’s game room, home to $30,000 cash and a handgun. Worthy asserts that Jones "schemed to extort a home, money, cars, and other valuables from Plaintiff by concocting false stories of domestic violence and leaking the same to the press to professionally and personally assassinate Plaintiff's character and reputation."

"Rather than leave and separate amicably, Defendant Jones became enraged and engaged in a series of abusive, extortive efforts against Plaintiff and destroyed his game room, including his gaming desk and console [a PlayStation 5], and the key to his Rolls Royce," – Worthy

Worthy’s legal woes began earlier this month when federal authorities arrested him in Texas. Yet he has felony charges for assaulting a family or household member by impeding breath or circulation. The arrest followed his discovery of Jones cheating on him back in February. After making this discovery, Worthy bought a home and eventually began asking Jones to move out on a daily basis over the next 12 days. He would go to the point of offering her money to locate an apartment in close proximity but she wouldn’t accept.

Worthy claims that Jones fed false allegations of domestic violence to the media in order to destroy his reputation. Regardless of these charges, Jones continues to keep her third protective order against Worthy while this case continues.
