New Zealand captain Sophie Devine headlines the international draft list for the upcoming season of The Hundred, set to commence on 5 August. This year's tournament kicks off with an exciting London derby double-header featuring London Spirit and Oval Invincibles at the iconic Lord's Cricket Ground. With a host of international and domestic stars up for grabs, the draft promises to be a thrilling event scheduled for 12 March.
Among the notable entries, Afghanistan's left-arm wrist-spinner Noor Ahmad commands attention with the highest reserve price of £200,000. The draft also sees the inclusion of England's Rehan Ahmed, Sophia Dunkley, Jamie Overton, Reece Topley, and Issy Wong as potential domestic selections. Adding further intrigue, big-hitting West Indies trio Andre Russell, Kieron Pollard, and Shimron Hetmyer are set to make their mark in the competition.
South Africa's fast bowler Anrich Nortje and New Zealand's Rachin Ravindra are also available for selection, adding depth to the pool of talent. Australian opener David Warner is keen to make his debut in the tournament after being undrafted in 2024. Meanwhile, India wicketkeeper Richa Ghosh is a notable name in the women's draft.
England cricket legend James Anderson is available in the men's draft, offering teams a chance to acquire one of the sport's most experienced bowlers. Young Lancashire batter Rocky Flintoff, son of former England all-rounder Andrew Flintoff, is another promising talent available. The men's draft also features a strong Australian contingent, including Leeds-born wicketkeeper Josh Inglis and leg-spinner Adam Zampa.
The competition has previously seen participation from all-rounder Glenn Maxwell and Women's Ashes-winning captain Alyssa Healy, who both played in the 2022 edition. This year, Birmingham Phoenix holds the first pick in the women's competition, setting the stage for an exciting start to the player selections.
