In a move that promises to reshape the NFL's player market, the Baltimore Ravens are preparing to extend contracts for two of their standout performers: safety Kyle Hamilton and center Tyler Linderbaum. Selected in the first round of the 2022 draft, both players have rapidly ascended to stardom, becoming pivotal figures for the Ravens with their exceptional on-field performances. Their anticipated contract extensions this offseason could redefine the salary benchmarks for their respective positions.
Hamilton and Linderbaum were both picked at No. 14 in the 2022 draft, a testament to the Ravens' strategic foresight. Their selection marked only the second instance in franchise history where two first-round picks from the same draft reached the Pro Bowl, achieving this accolade in both the 2023 and 2024 seasons. As leaders on the team, they have fortified the Ravens' strength up the middle on both offense and defense, contributing significantly to the team's competitive edge.
Hamilton's versatility has been a game-changer, with his ability to impact multiple areas of play. In 2024, he excelled as a deep safety, showcasing his diverse skill set. Simultaneously, Linderbaum could exceed Kansas City Chiefs' Creed Humphrey’s record as the highest-paid center after his four-year, $72 million agreement sealed in August.
