Abdoulaye Doucoure, an Everton midfielder, has become the target of racial abuse on social media following the Merseyside derby against Liverpool. The incident, which transpired in the comments section of Doucoure's post on Instagram, has sparked outrage and prompted a swift response from both football clubs and law enforcement authorities. Meta, the parent company of Instagram, is working closely with Everton to address the racist comments and take appropriate action against those responsible. Meanwhile, Sky Sports and Kick It Out have extended their partnership for another year to promote inclusion and combat discrimination in football. This collaboration includes a significant £1 million investment aimed at tackling discrimination and creating career opportunities within the sport.

The partnership also features a scholarship program with the University of Liverpool Management School. Graduates from this program have already begun to make their mark in the football industry, highlighting the positive impact such initiatives can have.
