Kagiso Rabada emerged as the star player for MI Cape Town, delivering an exceptional performance by taking 4 wickets for just 25 runs. His efforts were complemented by Trent Boult, who chipped in with figures of 2-9. The team's batting was led by Connor Esterhuizen, who scored 39 off 26 balls, and Dewald Brevis, contributing a quick-fire 38 off 18 balls.
Tom Abell top-scored for Sunrisers Eastern Cape with 30 runs, but his efforts were in vain as MI Cape Town's bowlers kept the pressure on throughout their innings. The victory was particularly sweet for MI Cape Town captain Rashid Khan, who expressed his joy at winning the title after previous struggles.
