Klayton Adams, 41, has garnered respect throughout the league for his proficiency in run game execution. During his tenure with the Cardinals, he helped propel the team to the seventh-ranked rushing offense in the NFL, averaging 144.2 yards per game and boasting an impressive 5.3 yards per carry. This experience is particularly crucial for the Cowboys, who struggled last season with just six rushing touchdowns, a statistic that highlights their need for improvement in this area.
In addition to Adams, the Cowboys are expected to appoint a new offensive line coach. Adams's previous experience includes four seasons with the Indianapolis Colts, where he worked closely with tight ends and served as an assistant offensive line coach. Notably, James Conner of the Arizona Cardinals showcased his talent last season by amassing 1,094 rushing yards and eight touchdowns, a performance that underlines the capabilities that Adams can bring to Dallas.
