Reggie Miller to Join NBC Sports as Lead NBA Analyst

Reggie Miller, the former Indiana Pacers shooting guard, will soon transition to a new role as the top color commentator for NBC Sports. This announcement comes as the NBA prepares to make its return to the network later this year. The move is part of a significant shift in NBA broadcasting, following a colossal 11-year, $77 billion media deal with ESPN, NBC, and Amazon Prime Video.

NBC Sports is set to re-enter the NBA broadcasting arena, having previously aired games from 1954-62 and again from 1990-2002. Miller, a five-time All-Star and Hall of Famer inducted in 2012, is anticipated to bring his wealth of experience and insight to the network. Known for his scoring prowess, he averaged 18.2 points per game over an 18-season career with the Pacers from 1987 until his retirement in 2005.

Having served as an NBA analyst for TNT since 2005, Miller is no stranger to the commentator’s booth. His experience makes him a valuable addition to NBC's broadcasting team. He will call games alongside esteemed play-by-play broadcasters Mike Tirico and Noah Eagle, starting with the 2025-26 NBA season.

As NBC gears up for its renewed NBA coverage, Miller’s appointment signifies a strategic move to enhance its sports commentary team. However, NBC Sports has yet to officially comment on Miller's new role. Similarly, efforts to reach Miller's representatives have so far been unsuccessful.
