LeBron James has solidified his legacy in NBA history, setting a remarkable record with 21 NBA All-Star Game selections. His journey began in 2005, and he has been a consistent presence at the event every year since. Not only has James earned the most All-Star appearances, but he also holds the title of all-time leading scorer in the NBA All-Star Game, boasting 434 career points.
Tim Duncan, Shaquille O'Neal, Kevin Durant, and Kevin Garnett each made their mark with 15 All-Star appearances. Duncan started in 12 of these games, while O'Neal had nine starts. Kevin Durant's consistent performance over the years has also earned him 15 appearances. Garnett, meanwhile, was a starter in 11 of his 15 appearances and received the All-Star MVP award in 2003.
Kobe Bryant, another legendary figure, graced the All-Star stage an impressive 18 times during his career. Known for his fierce competitiveness and exceptional skill, Bryant was honored as the All-Star MVP on four occasions—in 2002, 2007, 2009 (as co-MVP with Shaquille O'Neal), and 2011. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, a name synonymous with excellence in basketball, participated in 19 All-Star Games, further cementing his status as one of the greatest players in NBA history.
Julius Erving also left an indelible mark on the All-Star scene. Selected to 11 NBA All-Star Games and five ABA All-Star Games, Erving's influence extended beyond his play on the court. He led all players in All-Star voting four times between 1978 and 1983 and was named the All-Star MVP twice, in 1977 and 1983.
