Ravens Surge into Playoffs with Unstoppable Ground Game

The Baltimore Ravens have advanced confidently to the next round of the playoffs, powered by an exceptional ground game led by Derrick Henry and Lamar Jackson. In a remarkable display of rushing prowess, the Ravens amassed the most rushing yards in a playoff game since the 2012 San Francisco 49ers. Their performance culminated in a decisive 28-14 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Henry's explosive speed was on full display as he reached a top speed of 20.6 miles per hour on a sensational touchdown run, marking the second time this season he has surpassed 20 mph on such a play. The Ravens ran the ball on an overwhelming 50 of their 72 plays, reflecting their dedication to a ground attack that proved too much for the Steelers' defense.

Jackson expressed admiration for his teammate, saying, "Derrick is just a workhorse. That guy is just that guy." Jackson also contributed significantly to the ground game with 81 rushing yards, complementing Henry's record-setting performance.

"He was running past all those guys. It just looked like a movie, bro. I'd rather be watching it than being on the other side of the ball. I know that." – Jackson

Henry's effort resulted in 15 carries, his second-highest of the season, despite taking a hit to the back during the game. His extraordinary 44-yard touchdown run in the third quarter set a new personal postseason record and helped him accumulate 186 rushing yards and two touchdowns, setting a new Ravens postseason record.

The Ravens' relentless rushing attack set a new franchise record for total rushing yards at 299, eclipsing their previous best of 323 yards set during a divisional round win in 2012. Ronnie Stanley, a key player in the offensive line, highlighted the spectacle of watching Henry's runs.

"When Lightning McQueen was just flying flashing past, that's how Derrick looks," – Jackson

"I thought it was fun watching Lamar run, but watching Derrick Henry run for a touchdown, I think that might take the cake," – Ronnie Stanley

The team's focus now shifts to their upcoming game against either the Buffalo Bills or the Houston Texans. The Ravens' newfound momentum is tempered by caution and determination to maintain their performance level without becoming overconfident.

"We're not going to get too [far] ahead of ourselves and go off the walls about how great we are," – Henry
