The Zurich Classic of New Orleans has always been a little different in that it’s the only true team competition on the PGA Tour. It will start out at TPC Louisiana. This annual tournament will take place over four days, starting on Thursday and finishing on Sunday. This makes the event one of a kind among PGA Tour’s offerings. In it, two players team up to battle it out for the championship in an exciting team based championship.
Set in Avondale, Louisiana, TPC Louisiana has been the picturesque setting for this annual thrilling event. From the time it was first announced back in 2017, the Zurich Classic has had the golf world buzzing. This inviting format masterfully pairs friendship with ferocity. Players regularly join with friends, countrymen or college alumni, adding to the feeling of camaraderie between competitors.

It includes two rounds of foursomes, or alternate shot, and two rounds of four-ball, or best ball. Nick Hardy and Davis Riley share the all-time tournament scoring record, finishing an incredible 30-under 258 in 2023. Whether they like it or not, their incredible showing last year set the standard for future challengers. Of course, it made the event’s reputation for dazzling golf even stronger.
